The Agora Companies arrived in Ireland in 1999. Today, the organisation is proudly represented by seven Irish companies and more than 250 employees collectively here in the south east. These businesses exist to honour The Agora’s promise to deliver fresh, innovative ideas through independent research and media – whether it be through publishing, or through the marketing and design used to effectively support our publishing affiliates. At the center of these businesses is Agora Publishing Ireland.
Who we are
As an Agora Company, we are innately globally minded and entrepreneurial. Of the seven companies here in Ireland, the majority are considered start-ups having launched as recently as 2016. Others have been around more than two decades and are considered cornerstones of our legacy organisation. And while no two businesses are the same, the energy and spirit about them is consistent. We believe in perpetual learning and agility, and we strive to deliver innovative solutions. While we pride ourselves on being forward-looking, we also refer to history for inspiration and knowledge. In fact, our teams proudly operate out of Woodlock House, a period property located on 40-acres in Portlaw, Co. Waterford. Our campus is a short 20-minute drive from Waterford City.
